Timber (Factory Finished)
Factory finished timber floors are extremely popular and form the core of Bonsai's range. The term 'factory finished' refers to the fact that the timber is finished (or treated) at the manufacturer's facility, before being boxed and shipped ready for installation. Factory finishing can take many forms. the most common of which is either hard-wax oil, UV oil or lacquer (similar to a varnish) of some description.
There is a tremendous variety to choose from both in terms of timber choice, grade, width and length specification. Although typically not the widest or longest boards available, these floors are usually between 100 and 200mm wide, with lengths of around 1 to 2 metres. Pre-finished floor often represent great value for money as more often than not, nothing needs doing to them once they are fitted, save for a little occasional maintenance.
