Internal Doors (Door sets)
Door sets are a concept designed to increase the efficiency with which doors are installed. The traditional method sees the door lining, frames, stops, architrave and finally the door, handles and hinges etc all fitted in stages which can be extremely time consuming especially when decoration is factored in. With door sets the opening and door frame are prepared to a specific size and fully decorated. Finally, the whole kit including the door and ironmongery can be fitted into place in around 2 hours per set.
Having seen widespread use on mainland Europe for around two decades this method is starting to become used more often in the UK and Channel Islands too. Given the preference for working to metric sizes, door sets are used to best effect on new-builds however they can also be used on older renovations too.
